SOMETHING NEW! The first Unicorn Trad Night session went well;. it’s a nice space to play in and the landlady and staff made us very welcome. We’ll be back for another tunes and some songs session at The Unicorn, Marden, from 7.30pm on Tuesday the 30th June. We will of course be looking for contributions from around the room, as well as playing lots of favourites.
June’s afternoon tunes session at the Goudhurst Club is from 1.30pm on Wednesday the 24th June.
July’s Goudhurst Club afternoon tunes session will be on Wednesday the 22nd July, also from 1.30pm.
There will be no first Monday of the month new tunes meeting in June, so the next new tunes meeting will be on the 6th July. (I’ll sort out some music and YouTube demos in the coming weeks.) Lots of our tunes are well known, but written music for our tunes meetings can be found on the Country dance tunes meetings and workshops page, and there are steady-speed demonstrations of the tunes on my YouTube account https://www.youtube.com/@GavinAtkin
Julie and Gav are singing and playing at Faversham Folk Club on the 29th July. It’s our first time at the club, and we’d love to have lots of friends and supporters along to support us that night! Click here for details of the club.
