The autumn barndance at the Memorial Hall, Brenchley from 8pm on the 25th November is coming up fast! As many of you know, it’s a very family friendly occasion, with dancing, favourite games and jolly songs, so please bring family and friends. Tickets are selling well. Saturday morning band rehearsal – we’ve secured a room in Brenchley’s Memorial Hall for a rehearsal from 10am for anyone who is interested. We think it might well appeal to folks who can’t normally join the Tuesdayevening workshops… The tunes we’ll be using are on the website. The end of the month mixed songs and tunes session at The Castle, Brenchley is on Sunday the 26th November from 8pm– our official guest is the very excellent concertinist, whistler, guitarist and who knows what Chris Sadler and we’re very pleased this stellar local player has agreed to help out at short notice after our dear friends Annie Dearman and Steve Harrison were forced to cancel due to health problems. This is a free event but really rather cool and like few other evenings anywhere – so please come if you can, whether you’re a regular or someone new… We’re very friendly! (free event)
Tunes workshops and sessions – there are tunes workshops scheduled for 8pm on Tuesday the 21st November (mainly practising for the dance) and Tuesday the 5th December, and the first Sunday tunes session at the Gun is on the 3rd December, again from 8pm. (free events)
And carolling is coming up – we’ll be carol singing at The Stilebridge on the 17th December from 8.30pm. We’ll be including some less well known carols that either originated in Kent or used to be sung hear in years gone by. (free event)
