The next tunes workshop at the Gun is from 8pm on the 21st – written tunes will be online at https://www.singdanceandplay.net/free-english-traditional-tunes-workshops/
Folks can join the workshops at any time, but do need to have reached the stage where they can get round a few tunes.
Our visiting pal at the session at the Castle Inn, Brenchley on the 26th January is masterful whistle, bagpipe and saxophone exponent and abc notation inventor Chris Walshaw.
Finally, The Tonic is playing for an English ceilidh at Hothfield Village Hall (Hothfield, near Ashford TN26 1EQ) from 8pm on the 18th January, with John Sweeney calling. For details click here. There’s even a dancing skills workshop beforehand from 7.30pm.
If our last gig there was anything to go by, it’ll be a great night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jO4B1wWGxm8
See you soon I hope!
