Julie and Gav’s first and third Sunday songs and tunes Zoom
The agenda is intended to be trad, old fashioned and entertaining. If you’ve got a song, a tune, a story or perhaps even a dance please let the chair know and you’ll be called on at some point.
We usually go round the room once or twice in an order designed to achieve variety among the voices and instruments, and if there’s time we then mix and match performers to complete the evening. We like to mix tunes and songs and are sometimes short of tunes players – so if you both play tunes and sing songs you may get called on to do both.

First Wednesday tunes session at The Village Club, Goudhurst (THIS EVENT IS BEING RESCHEDULED – DETAILS WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY)
Our first Wednesday mainly English folk tunes session at the Goudhurst Village Club is a friendly event where we play jigs, polkas, reels, marches, hornpipes, schottisches etc at a steady pace, led by Julie and Gavin Atkin, and the Goudhurst U3A country dance tunes group. We hire the room we play in, so expect there to be a whip-round amounting to £2-3.
Join us in playing, or just come to listen!
Email Gavin Atkin at gmatkin@gmail.com for details, including a list of some of the tunes we’re likely to play.

A word to the wise – Matt’s visit was in October 2015. No doubt he’ll be back though…
